Critical Objectives began with a clear objective: rethink how the shooter interacts with the rifle. From the start, the focus was ergonomics—keeping essential controls where the shooter can reach them naturally, with the rifle at the shoulder.
That work produced our patented, non-reciprocating forward-charging system and, with it, the 02 Talon.
Tested Before It Reached the Market
Years of development have put the 02 Talon in the hands of hunters, competitive shooters and experienced shooters across the country. Through tens of thousands of rounds, in the field and in competition, the platform has been tested and refined under a wide range of conditions.
That process shaped the rifle we’re producing today, from the operation of our patented, non-reciprocating forward-charging system to the overall ergonomics and performance of the platform.
The latest version of the 02 Talon is now in production.
